Fruitaholics collects only the minimum data required for basic app functionality. This includes: • Email address (for account authentication) • Username / display name • Favourite fruit selection • Home country preference • Tier lists you create and their contents • Fruit collection data (fruits marked as tried, tasting notes, ratings) We do not collect location data, device identifiers, usage analytics, or any data beyond what is listed above.
We collect information in the following ways: • Account creation — When you sign up with email/password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In, we receive your email address and display name from the authentication provider. • App usage — When you set a favourite fruit, create tier lists, or add fruits to your collection, that data is saved to your account. • Authentication providers — If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive only your name and email address. We do not receive or store your password from these providers.
All user data is stored in a PostgreSQL database managed by Supabase, a third-party backend-as-a-service platform. Supabase provides the database hosting, authentication services, and API layer that Fruitaholics relies on. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on Supabase's cloud infrastructure. We do not maintain our own servers or databases outside of Supabase.
Your data is retained indefinitely for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, all associated data — including your profile, tier lists, collection, and preferences — will be permanently removed from our database. We do not create backups of individual user data beyond what Supabase provides as part of its standard infrastructure.
Fruitaholics uses the following third-party services that may process your data: • Supabase — Database hosting, authentication, and API services. Supabase's privacy policy applies to data stored on their infrastructure. • Apple Sign-In — If you choose to sign in with Apple, Apple's privacy policy governs how they handle your authentication data. • Google Sign-In — If you choose to sign in with Google, Google's privacy policy governs how they handle your authentication data. We do not use any analytics services, advertising networks, crash reporting tools, or other third-party services that track or profile users.
Your data is used solely for providing app functionality: • Authentication and account management • Displaying your profile and preferences • Storing and displaying your tier lists and collection • Showing your favourite fruit on your profile We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any third parties. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the core app experience.
You have the following rights regarding your data: • Access — You can view all data associated with your account directly within the app (profile, tier lists, collection). • Deletion — You can delete your account at any time from the Profile settings screen. This permanently removes all your data from our database. • Portability — You may request a copy of your data by contacting us. We will provide it in a standard machine-readable format. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, you may have additional rights under applicable legislation such as the GDPR or UK GDPR.
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS) and Supabase's built-in security features including Row Level Security policies on all database tables. However, we make no guarantees regarding data security. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
Fruitaholics is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Fruitaholics after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
